I've been struggling with my faith lately. I, of course, believe in Jesus. However, I wrestle with ideas of a 'G-d'. I think as you get older your faith wants to believe in a 'G-d' and make meaning out of a short, crazy existence. But I don't like this idea of an omnipotent, omniscient alien intelligence who rules over all. It's wild and crazy. However, even Albert Einstein who is basically agnostic has been quoted as saying that the more he studies science, the more he believes there must be a G-d. Perhaps that is where I am in my personal quest of 'faith' and understanding 'G-d.'
I was raised Catholic and inculcated with strict Catholic values and ideas. And of course that is part of my early conditioning. However, I dislike this basically binary choice between heaven and hell and perhaps a 3-dimensional choice of heaven, hell, and purgatory. They say most souls are in purgatory. And I think to myself is that it? Is that actually 'True'?
I like this idea that humanity is actually an alien civilization founded by aliens from another world. And that there is a Starship Federation and Heavens' Councils. I like pondering on these possibilities.
