There are many -isms. Ignorant individuals use negative -isms to control and divide and justify cruelty. I like to think that we live in a day and age where these -isms are easily dismantled and debunked for the self-defeating mendacities they are. However, humanism is something to be encouraged.

Be careful of your thoughts and collective thoughts because they create reality. And some are unnecessary and not desirable.

I updated the bio of this journal as well as added a Journal Title and Journal subtitle. Dominican Academy girls can recall that the first sentence we learned in Latin Class is Puella est pulchra. The girl is pretty. As for me, I am in all earnestness, am pretty nasty.

It's come to my attention that I have no kitty icons. Keanu hasn't informed me that he is getting me a kitty. Hence, no kitten icons.

However, I am considering Schrodinger's Cat.




My take on this is that it is absolutely cruel. For shame! For shame!

But yes, both dead and alive at the same time. Same could be said about all living things. We are at once being reborn and decaying at the same time.

Love is starting to sound like profanity. Sinister and dirty. Beetle cars are called 'Love Bugs." Oh yes, cooties even.

The first blush of love is quite beautiful to witness. Most couples break up after that because then they are sobered by the reality that they were just going along with the programming inside of them and not acting authentically.

True love endures. Love should endure through the many changing tides of existence. Love should endure distance and time. Love should encourage you to be your most authentic self. Love is honest. Love should be true.

You learn to love others better when you learn to love yourself and the world around you.

You learn to love better when you have loved and lost. Heartbreak and gaping wounds in your heart and soul teach you a great deal about love, life, and death.

Just maintain your sanity and integrity if you can.

Loss

In the span of four years I lost a great love and my BFF, my mother who is also a BFF, a full set of teeth, and my will to live. It was a non-stop onslaught of disaster in my life. I was alone through most of it and I had to struggle every day to get to the point I am now.

It is quite the struggle.

At the moment I am imagining that I am in a gorgeous amphitheater and listening to prodigious acapella groups like BoysIIMen singing songs like 'Hard to Say I am Sorry.' Absolutely electrifying.

But I digress. Loss. I understand loss and betrayal and soul pain indelibly. It's made me a gentler individual. I am much more patient and conscious of myself and the world as a result.

It is called melanin. Do not fear it. It is your friend.

I just do not think it is the color of your skin or your appearance. Not in this day and age. I just think we are all woke and those who are not are asleep at their wheels. That's alright because Jesus will take over for you.

I think we need to appreciate everyone for their unique heritage and unique viewpoints and what makes everyone a unique snowflake. If we allow ourselves to use higher reasoning we will stop race-baiting each other and behave more civil to one another.

I think this is a beautiful world with shades of white and black and everything in between. But what if we could live in a world like 'Avatar' where everybody's skin is the color blue? Or perhaps purple or green or colors we cannot see with the naked eye?

I am a mixed breed myself and I like being the living embodiment of the UN. It is very liberating and crazy at times.

I'm the purple sheep of my family.
